Genetic Mutation

I'm having a great visit with Dad and Vera. It has been very low key and relaxed. We went to Nelson on Friday. That place hasn't changed at all. A quaint, weird, very pretty town. It is a great shopping town and I found a couple funny things to send to my kids.
It was funny when I told Dad I was doing this trip, he went on and on about having my head examined and then said "I'll take you over to Frankie's (Dad's cousin). He went across Canada a couple years ago." I also have an uncle who solo tours and a cousin who spent two and a half years cycling around South America. So I wonder who this gene came from?
I had a great visit with Frankie, I haven't seen him since I was a toddler and he was a teenager but we hit it right off. He is a very funny guy. He let me read his trip diary and showed me his route. Dad has gone across Canada with a fifth-wheel so they exchanged stories about where to stop and what to miss. It was great having their dual input. He had also cycled the parkway so I got some great input about that as well.
My brother Daniel, his wife Jen, and my nephew Morgan came over for dinner last night. Vera outdid herself again. Man can that woman cook. It was a nice visit. We are all going for a hike to today, sans Morgan he is going to spend some time with his other Grandparents.
Today is the first day that I've felt kind of stiff so for my trip I think two days is the maxium time allowed off the bike.

Pictures from our hike Morgan came after all. He did great.
