3.5av/10mintv/ISO 400/10mm/ bulb setting
Well today I though I would try something I have never tried before. All things considered I am quite happy with this shot it was blowing like a bastard so hid behind the building that is in the foreground. I did try some other angles and such but forgot to recheck my focus after the move. Silly silly mistake and extra hour in the freeze for nothing except a good lesson.
I thought I would add the second photo from the compilation of photos. The star trails are marginally longer.

Today I was playing with my flash again. The first shot is flash on camera no diffuser.
The second shot is with the Lastolite soft box only. Shot three is with the lastolite soft box and a 42" silver reflector. There are still a few hot spots but over all a much better shot. All three shots taken at f4/, 1/30sec, 32mm focal length.

This was a rush home take a photo and run away to watch the semi-finals of the world junior hockey game. I had tried my hand at back lighting again but "eyes" couldn't see each other so no back flash. I will try again when I have more time. This was taken on manual with the flash on camera with the lastolite shadow box. My daughter's cat Luna. I call her Binja. The Bitch Ninja always attacking the other cats and them running away.

TV100/AV4.5/ISO200/28mm/mode-M Canon 7d,EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM,
Canon 580ii speedlite with lastolite speed box and large silver reflector
This was practicing using the flash off camera. I back lit the subject and using my large silver reflector I bounced the light back to fill light for the front of the subject.
